Have you ever caught yourself looking at someone on stage or in the spotlight and thinking, “They’ve got it all together”?
Last week I was in Dallas for an incredible event packed with powerhouse speakers like Josh Altman from Million Dollar Listing and Tim Grover, the legendary trainer of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. But what impacted me most wasn’t the big names or the polished presentations.
One particular speaker had earned over $20 million in real estate commissions. On paper, his success was undeniable. Yet as he spoke, I noticed him stumble. His words began to break apart. Then, in front of thousands of people, he froze completely. The host had to step in and bail him out. For a moment, it looked like he was having a panic attack.
It was raw. It was uncomfortable. And it was real.
That moment reminded me of something we often forget. Behind the wealth, fame, or perceived perfection, every person faces their own battles. Everyone puts their pants on the same way. Everyone has moments of weakness.
So back to the question at the start: Do they really “have it all together”?
The truth is, no one does. And that’s the beauty of it. Because the moment we realize we’re all human, we stop comparing and start connecting.
